Evolution of a natural patina

The metals used for our range oxidise with age and environment, both of which contribute to the evolution of a natural patina. Because each object is cast in small batches, slight variations will occur from one individual piece to another. Production marks may include slight pour ripples or surface pitting, which imprint every item with a unique character.

Metal description:

Aluminium
"Crafted through sand-casting or machining, with finish offerings in both rumbled and mirror-polished. Less dynamic, but will patina slightly."

Brass
"Rumbled finish achieved through friction when tossed with other metals. Vibrant, but dynamic and will patina from its reaction to the elements and its use."

Bronze
"Rumbled finish achieved through friction when tossed with other metals. Vibrant, but dynamic and will patina from its reaction to the elements and its use."

Blackened
"Rumbled finish achieved through friction when tossed with other metals. Exaggerated ageing process achieved through chemical treatment. Dynamic, and will evolve, allowing for hot spots of original lustre to peak through."
